PROGRAM
1st day: (Irkutsk city – Orlik village. 500 km)
Going to beginning of the route. Beautiful views at Baikal, Tunkinskaya valley with mineral springs on the way. Sttoping near holy places. There Buryats worship to local ghosts. We will see "Nuhu-Daban" waterfall, Irkut river coomb, Munku-Sardyk peak (highest peak of East Sayan). Going along Oka river. Arriving to Orlyk village. Night in rustic home.
2d day: (85 km)
Going along bad road by army six-wheeler. Going along small river “Senca” and wading small rivers. Driving to Choinan-Daban pass. Camping. Night in tents.
3d day: to the valley of youth and health (10 km)
Overcoming Choigan-Daban pass. Valley of mineral springs - Choigan wait us beyond the pass. The route isn’t difficult. It goes along horse path. Duration is about 3-4 hours. Taking hot baths in springs including “Molodost” (youth) spring. Tasting different mineral waters. Night in tents.
4th day: relaxation day on springs
Spending whole day on the springs! You can climb at the air view ridges along beautiful lakes. You will admire mountain area of the three-thousandth peaks and Topography peak (3089 m). 8 glaciers lie on its slopes. They give rise to many rivers including Enisei. Night in tents.
5th day: (10 km)
Taking baths last time. Caming back over Choigan pass. Night in tents
6th day: (20 km)
Crossing Uirhan range to the valley of Hoito-Gol river. Hoito-Gol has hot springs and baths! Springs well out from under big stones on the stream shore. The temperature of springs is +29...+33 C. There are about ten springs. Springs are hydrocarbonate-natrium-calcium with predominance of natrium. They known to Mongolians and Tuvinians as medical treatment of rheumatism and nervous diseases. Night in tents.
7th day: traveling to Volcano Valley (20 km)
Overcoming pass (2350 m) and coming down to valley. View at Volcano Valley and first Peretolchin volcano is opened in hour and a half. (All valley and conduit of volkano are viewing from it peak). Camping near the foot.
8th day: walking along lava fields (15 km)
Walking along Lava fields to Kropotkin volkano, Staryi (Old) volkano consisting of three ruinous and joining cones, air view peak and mountain lake in the end of the valley. Dinner. Evening fire. Night in tents.
9th day: coming back to springs (20 km)
Coming back to springs and relaxation! Bathing in hot springs. Thanking for successful travel to “Bolshoi Burhan” (holy place). Giving traditonal gifts.
10th day: (traveling - 85 km)
Breakfast. Transfer to Orlik village by Ural auto. Night in tents on the shore of Oka river.
11th day:
Coming back to Irkutsk. You can visit "Zhemchug" (Pearl) hot spring on the way.
