Route:
This route is for physical fit people. It is suggested visiting three peaks:
- Cherskyi peak (Hamar-Daban, height 2090 m),
- Tryohglavaya peak(East Sayan, height 2570 m),
- Munku-Sardyk peak (Big Sayan, height 3491 m).
These mountains are the most open ones and at the same time
the highest in its area.
Munku-Sardyk peak is highest point of East Sayan.

PROGRAM
1st day:
Going from Irkutsk to Slyudyanka to beginning of the travel.
Checking outfit. Going at the route.
Today goal is to reach Kazachiya glade.
Going along forest path crossing Slyudyanka river some times.
Going by Belaya (White) peak - marble quarry “Pereval” (Pass).
Over 10 km road turnes into good wide path. Distance of first transfer is 10-15 km.
Night in the base camp in tents.
2d day:
Climbing at Cherskyi peak (2090 m).
Visiting waterfall on Podkomarnaya river if health and weather will be good.
Night in tents. Transfer is 15 km.
3d day:
Coming back to Slyudyanka town (20 km).
Night in tourist’s refuge of Mineral museum.
Visiting the museum. Evening sauna.
4th day:
Going to Sayany (transfer 130 km).
Night in Arshan resort. The resort is famous for its mineral waters.
Walking to springs, waterfalls. Visiting Dacan temple.
Night in the hotel.
5th day:
Going up Kyngarga river by waterfalls and rifts,
along deep canyon to our stand in circus of Tryohglavaya peak (15 km).
Night in tents.
6th day:
Climbing at Tryohglavaya peak (2570m).
Beautiful view at
Tunkinskye rocks is opened from the peak. Tunkinskaya valley
and west part of Hamar-Daban range (10 km) is opened. Night in tents
7th day:
Coming down to Arshan. Going to the
highest point of our travel – Munku-Sardyk peak.
Transfer 170 km, tracking 3 km.
Night at upper Irkut river in tents.
8th day:
Going up along Belyi (White) Irkut.
Arriving to timberline. (15 km). Camping.
Night in tents.
9-10th days:
Climbimg at the peak (20 km). We will climb at 2 moraines, go
by lake and climb at Munku-Sardyk peak.
The state Mongolian border goes there.
Beautiful panorama of Sayan
range and wonderful view at Hubsugul lake is opened from the peak.
Coming down to the camp. Night in tents. 10th day is reserve for weather.
11th day:
Coming back to the road to auto waiting us.
Coming back to Irkutsk.
“Zhemchug” (Pearl) termal springs
on the way.

Recommended outfit:
Packback of 60-90 litre with belt, COMFORTABLE tourist’s boots!!!,
light footwear (sandal), cotton and thin woollen socks, sport cotton overcoat,
warm sweater or fliss jersey, wind-cheater, raincoat!, tricot, shorts,
sun glasses and sunblock, head-dress, repellent, first-aid outfit, personal
hygienic goods, mug, soup-plate, spoone, knife.
Draw attention to comfort and quality of footwear. You should to tread out
it if footwear is new. It can be snowing in August and June at rock part of the route.
Participants carry some foods and tents.
