EAST SAYAN TOURS

 SHUMAK'S SPRINGS

     The holy Shumak's valley with its healing unique springs has been known for centuries. You'll get indelible impressions of grandiose panorama of majestic Sayany mountains, alpine meadows, clear rivers, lakes and waterfalls. There are religious Buddhist's and shamanist's places. For centuries people have been going there by foot or horses to get healed. Now it is easier to get there by helicopter. It takes only an hour to reach Tunkinskye rocks are often called "Siberian Switzerland".

 THREE PEAKS

This route is for physical fit people. It includes visiting three peaks:
- Cherskyi peak (Hamar-Daban, height 2090 m)
- Tryohglavaya (East Sayan, height 2570 m)
- Munku-Sardyk (Big Sayan, height 3491 m))
These mountains are the most open ones and at the same time the highest in its area. Munku-Sardyk peak is highest point of East Sayan.

 EXCURSION TOUR "HEALING ARSHAN SPRING"

Arshan has become favorite vacation place for Irkutsk citizens thanks to healing mineral springs and crystal-clear mountain air. There are a large choice of hotels and sanatoriums. There are hiking and excursions, visiting air view peaks, springs, water-pool, sauna, mineral baths, circular shower, walking along rocky canyons of mountain river Kyngarga.

 CLIMBING AT MUNKU-SARDYK PEAK

Munku-Sardyk is the highest peak of East Sayan. Its height is 3491 meters above sea level. The state border between Russia and Mongolia is lying over this peak. The "highest" does not mean the most difficult, although this mountain can show its Siberian character, especially in winter.
